Until new nano lithium technology comes in later in 2009, mobile phone batteries are still notoriously flaky. Just when you need to make an important call the battery indicator tells you the charge is all but extinct. You may have conditioned your battery in line with all of the advice and old wives tales floating around but still have to re-charge yours every day. Short of buying a spare and keeping that charged what can you do?
If you have your PC case off you will see something on the motherboard that looks like a small thick silver coin. That is the battery. There are other types of battery used on newer machines (Ni-Cad, NVRAM) but these much less frequently found and so I won't discuss them further.
Most of the laptops now a day are equipped with cobalt ontario-ion batteries. Though there are Nickel-cadmium, Nickel metal hydride, etc, after the invention of Lithium-ion battery, because of its efficiency most of the laptop manufacturers are selling it along with their respective laptops.
Okay, so we know we'd be sunk without our laptops and cell phones. But what about the car? Cars have batteries too. Perhaps you ride a Harley Davidson - not without a motorcycle battery! It's interesting to think where we'd be if the afore-mentioned "zapping episode" took place. We know that our forefathers coped without batteries but could we?
All the phones now come with Lithium battery stocks ion batteries and charging should not be an issue ...although it's best not to charge them over 24 hours..Overnight every night is fine...they all do have a life though leaving it off when you don't need it can extend that. Although you would miss calls.

The Makita is also equipped with a built-in LED light for illuminating areas with little to no light. The LED light feature in particular is one of my favorites.
Of course, there will be Apps. Smart phones right now are all about the apps. You need to do a bit of search. This is necessary since the right apps will help you and nasty ones will just be a liability and will eat up your space.
